Yoga for kids

Why Little Tree Yoga Studio

At Little Tree Yoga Studio we give children the tools they need to succeed!

We offer many programs for children and teens that will help them develop healthy habits for a lifetime of wellness and happiness.

How?

We are in a state of constant change and growth in early childhood.  This time has proven to shape our ability to learn and to define our future mental and physical well-being. YOGA, intentional movement, has a tremendous impact as it shapes a child’s ability to maintain focus, remain calm, and filter sensory information.

Practicing intentional movement, accompanied by breath, meditation and awareness of our body mind connection can leave your child feeling confident and empowered.

At Little Tree Yoga Studio we implement and reinforce all of these techniques in an intention based, playful, safe environment.

Some of what we include in our classes are as follows:

Skills and Activities

  • Simple breathing techniques to slow down the nervous system, develop self-control and connect kids with their feelings.
  • Yoga poses to release energy, learn compassion and develop strength, concentration and self-confidence.
  • Games and processes that develop patience, mindfulness, compassion, leadership and other social/emotional skills.
  • Relaxation techniques and storytelling to calm the body and mind, and integrate physical, emotional and cognitive experiences.

Your child's experience is certain to be a time of self connection and community connection!
